NBA Templar (STP/NFJ) Point Guards

Templar Quadra or STP/NFJs - They all have the same functions yet here we can observe their different styles and personalities. Observe how the different ordering of the Ti-Fe and Ni-Se axis makes for stylistic differences even in a game of basketball at the highest level and at the same position (height, weight, job requirement similar) as top NBA point guards.

They will all possess a certain "smoothness" with Fe (as opposed to stiff or box-like or Te movements as if playing a game of tetras) and also have the Se reflexes.  The difference is in how they feed off of their hero function which I find to be quite observable in the following footages.

*the point guard is the smallest of the five players on the court known for great dribbling and passing skills in order to distribute the ball to the bigger players as opposed to dunking it themselves.  They also can be great shooters from distance.  They facilitate the movement and execution of plays for the team.

 ESTP - Steph Curry (Se-Ti-Fe-Ni)

Steph is hand's down the best shooter of the rock to ever play.   Here he shows what Se hero is all about - spatial awareness.  Notice also how he talks about calm focus and strength.  He stays present in the moment to let his instincts take over.  True Se hero nature.

ISTP - Jason Williams (Ti-Se-Ni-Fe)

One thing you'll notice in anything ISTP is Ti hero's ingenuity.  Whether it is the rhyme scheme of Eminem, the guitar riffs of Slash, or the genius level passing of Jason Williams, their improvisational abilities are next level.  With Se a servant of Ti, they pull off the unthinkable.  Just have a look at that elbow pass at 1:25...are you kidding me?!? That's Ti-Se style for you.  Like an INTP is a genius, the ISTP can be thought of as a "genius of the physical realm".  Virtuosos!

INFJ - Allen Iverson (Ni-Fe-Ti-Se)

Ni hero is fiery.  So where an ESTP will lead with Se strength/presence, ISTP with Ti improvisational genius, INFJ will lead with Ni passion/fire: "...the game that I go out and die for and play every play like it's my last...". Ni-Fe is passion in dramatic fashion.  Se is the servant of their Ni fire.

ENFJ - (Fe-Ni-Se-Ti) I really want to find an ENFJ point guard to complete the "ensemble" but I've noticed that Se children (ENTJ/ENFJ) are hard to find in sports.  Chris Collinsworth was a Wide Receiver in the NFL as an ENFJ and their was a cage fighter recently who now has a podcast for sports...but as of yet no point guards...they are probably just trying to arrive fashionably late with their posse.  For ENFJs in general see ASAP Rocky, 50 Cent, The-Dream, Shawn Mendez, and Hilary Duff to name a few.

IN SUMMARY

...All three of these guys have the same functions and so will value the same things to one extent or another.  Namely, all three will enjoy the Ni-Se (desire and performance) and Ti-Fe (style as it relates to the outside world/swag etc) axis but they will all have different energy for each.

ESTP Steph has a high Se energy allowing him to put in the work and value presence or "in the moment" moments of the game.  ESTPs will react instinctually with Se hero so they put in the necessary endurance and technique training (high energy for training) before hand in order to stay in the moments of the game. "calm, strength, focus"; Se hero.

ISTP is like an INTP.  If INTP is a "genius" then ISTP can be thought of or better understood as a "physical genius" or a genius with the physical realm.  Their Ti hero causes this virtuoso effect.  It is a very pragmatic way of THINKING or problem solving ways to DO a task.  This can be observed by Jason Williams "no look" passes and complex ball fakes.  It is highly improvisational yet since they have a high Ti energy it is as the announcer in the video said: he's a genius with the basketball.  Se serves the Ti brain as they "understand" the physical world.

Finally the INFJ who has a high energy for Ni.  Ni hero is fire and they burn brightly when engaging in "battle".  Ni-Fe will see things as "dramatic conquests" for Se to play with.  Se inferior has a lower energy for presence but it is still Se.  It only pushes Ni (fire, passion or desire) through it as demonstrated by A.I.  They can be quite intense in athletics or physical activities due to a high "passion" energy.

Hopefully this blog serves as an "illuminating" (last one I promise) segment about how different Se slots manifest given similar positions (point guards).

And there you have it. ESTP, ISTP, and INFJ as NBA point guards.
