Most Charismatic vs. Coolest types (explicit content used in examples)

Many books and even youtube channels have been dedicated to this topic of charisma.  Even see the youtube channel "charisma on command" and see how many followers it has.  All of these point to behavioral tricks one can employ in interactions.  Here I point to the functions themselves as tools for understanding what charisma and coolness are and then how one can use the natural tendencies of these functions to employ these behaviors.  I then loosely rank the most charismatic and cool types by nature.  If you are not one of these types do not worry, chances are your functions do not care to be.  But should the occasion arise where you would like to develop these things, here is who to emulate and why:

The difference in coolness vs charisma is that coolness is a quality one admires when they see it whereas charisma is one that makes you feel good to be around.  So when you see someone who is "cool" you think, man, "I'd like to be like that or do that" etc. When you see one who is charismatic, on the other hand, it is not that you want to be that person necessarily but rather you want to be around that person, you enjoy their energy.  You think, "they are so much fun".  

The difference between coolness and charisma cognitively speaking is Fe vibe vs Fi fun respectively.

For coolness, the functions you need to display are Se and Fe. Fe is smooth and rounded whereas the opposite would be Te which is box-like and desirous of information in a dry state.  Te is less willing to "hang" than Fe which is all about the vibes. This is also why hip-hop music in particular is usually a cool genre as it is very rhythmic.  That is Fe for you. 

Meanwhile, while Fe is about vibes, Se is all about entertaining and is present to the concrete moment.  In contrast to Se would be Ne which is a metaphysical cartoon-like place that isn't readily relatable to others beyond the Ne user.

One cannot readily grasp Ne from the outside as one can Se.  

So Fe vibes + Se presence = cool

**Not to belittle any type as every function has it's strength and weakness, Ne has the innovative and creative strength attached and ESTJs in particular have the ability to outlast.  Just see the long and prosperous careers of ESTJs Daddy Yankee, Mariah Carey, and QB Tom Brady.  So everything has it's advantages, this post simply is on the topic of coolness and charisma...back to the program**

So taking Se and Fe into account you find that the STP/NFJ Quadra should be objectively the cool quadra.  The ISTP and INFJ can be cool (and certainly are at times: istp Eminem - infj The Weeknd) but the ESTP and the ENFJ, in my opinion, are more "naturally cool" as they have both Se and Fe in "optimistic slots" or hero and child, and are their go to functions as extroverts.  The ISTP and INFJ have these functions Se and Fe in "pessimistic slots" or parent/inferior, and will be an insecure in one or the other.  Also being introverts may prefer solitude in the moment although they also place value in being "cool".  Given this, the coolest types most naturally or objectively would be the ESTP and ENFJ.  Being "cool" also, I should mention, is not necessarily about showing off or being arrogant although that is always possible.  But when you look deeper, the functions themselves are how these users interact with the outside world.  Fe feels the outer world and so would rather feel smooth.  Se senses the outer world and so would rather be strong in it.  It is an innate preference given the nature of their functions.  So even as these types mature, they may always have a degree of swag to them.  

As for the most charismatic, this thought occurred to me as I was watching some great YouTube content (shout out to the "Botez sisters" ISTJ Alex and ESFP Andrea) and realized how charismatic the ESFP is.  Absolutely entertaining.  That's when I realized the difference between charisma and coolness. That difference being cool vs charismatic is found in Fi being fun and Fe being vibes.  That is the main case of charisma. Charismatic people bring the fun!  

As for ranking, unlike "coolness" being Fe in the first or third slot as being more cool than the second and fourth, Fi is the opposite.  Fi in the second slot is more charismatic than Fi in the first or third slots.  The reason is that Fi in the hero slot has Te in the inferior slot which can cause the user to be guarded, not speak or simply not let loose as readily.  Also, again, taking isfp and infp as the introverted counterparts to the charismatic esfp and enfp, they often prefer to be alone and/or just observe from the corner before trusting enough to allow the fun to begin!

Practical application of this is that if you want to develop either of these qualities into your personality even for a time, these types are good ones to emulate.  If you are a Te user who wants to be more charismatic, realize that your interactions have to be based off of having fun and not showing off, competing or clout chasing for example.  NTJs and STJs in particular can learn to let go of competition and just have fun and their charm will come through as long as these things are in mind.

To emulate coolness, catch a vibe and be present and unwavering in your presence!  Too much pressure?  Give a compliment and steer the focus somewhere else.  Don't talk about yourself as that may hit on Fi which Fe users are unsure of.  Stay on the offensive.  It is Se and Fe to regulate.
